The Indianapolis Labor Day tournament was fun. I liked the format where youplay 8 matches (or until you lose 4), and then the players with the bestrecords continue to play. I think it is more reasonable than elimination typesof tournaments where one or two losses and you are out. After all, we cometo a backgammon tournament to play. Of course, when you lose just aboutevery match, as I did, it doesn't help much.

I think the readers will find my article this month instructive. I put a lotof effort into it, as I believe there is quite a bit of valuable informationthere.
